Sea of Tranquility - Emily St. John Mandel

35 pages in and I can tell this one is going to be challenging.  I know it's a time travel sort of arty book so.....by the sections in the book 1. Remittance 1912 Edwin St Andrew has been exiled to Canada by his family for badmouthing the aristocracy.  While he's in Canada, and going bush, he bumps into father Roberts, and in Chapter 8 hears a violin and a feeling of "a vast interior, something like a train station or a cathedral".  Apparently (yeah, I read reviews), the violin is significant.  2. Mirella and Vincent 2020 Apparently these are characters from a previous book , but doesn't really matter, but will spoil the ending of The Glass Hotel.  I don't care. . . . . and....I stopped updating, because the stories were kind of boring, and nothing to update, then it got good, and I couldn't put it down.  Almost finished.  The whole book is a brain burner, and a bit of a standard time travel....don't mess with the past type of story. So to recap,...

Skip down the book, and it's strongly suspected that guy number one, the rape and murder guy, was always guilty.   But who knows.  So the in...

When the Stars go Dark - Paula McLain

psychological thriller overview - this book is based on a missing persons case - Polly Klaas.  And the author has incorporated the case into the story Characters Anna Hart - the Protagonist.  A missing persons detective. Cricket - Anna's dog. Robin - her junkie mother Jason and Amy - step siblings. Frank - Anna's husband Will - Sheriff.  His Dad used to be the Sheriff when Anna and him were younger Beth - Wills wife Jenny Ford - disappeared in 1973 Caleb - an old friend of Anna.  Seems like a recluse artist now. Brother of Jenny Emily Hague - actress Troy Curtis - the father, having an affair, and gotten her pregnant Cameron Curtis (15) - missing girl and foster daughter of Emily.    (An)drew Hague - creepy brother, long since estranged.  He's probably a red herring Gray Benson - Camerons school friend Hap & Eden (?)- Annas foster parents The story is told in 2 sections, but interconnected.  Flashback and now Flashback Anna had a bad traum...
